Cardio and Core with the Magic Circle
Boost your heart rate and strengthen the core with some fun dance inspired moves in this low intensity aerobic workout set to music. We will incorporate squats, lunges, and some fancy footwork during the cardio portion and use the Magic Circle to increase upper body strength and shoulder mobility for a full body workout. You will need a Magic Circle and athletic shoes for this worker. Fitness tracker optional, but will add to the fun!
Long and Lean with Pilates
Lengthen and strengthen using mat exercises and props you already have on hand at home! We will incorporate the Magic Circle, resistance bands, the foam roller, and physio balls into our mat work for a full body workout. Safe for clients with osteopenia and osteoporosis, this class will leave you standing straighter and taller.
Pilates Mat for Healthy Bones
Increase your core strength and improve your posture and balance while improving the health of your bones. This fun, 55-minute class incorporates exercises which are specifically designed to combat bone density loss. We will use Pilates mat exercises, movement, balance exercises, and stretches with just a few props. You will need a mat, a Gertie ball, a resistance band, and a yoga strap. All exercises are safe with those with osteopenia and osteoporosis.
Pilates Mat for Agility and Movement
Pilates Mat work is a challenging yet safe method to sculpt your body and feel increased agility and mobility in your daily movements. Using the mat and a few props, we will work on stabilizing the core, improving posture, and strengthening the total body! You’ll get a great, full-body workout as we challenge the body from all angles.
Walking for Fitness
Turn your daily walk into a muscle-strengthening and bone-building group aerobic exercise with the A Body of Work Walking for Fitness outdoor class. Taking advantage of our location in the beautiful Presidio, we’ll head out together, pick up the pace, and hit some hills or stairs. We will incorporate squats, lunges, and stretches along the way to maximize our fitness. This is an intermediate-level class, and we will walk approximately two miles.
Pilates Reformer Fundamentals
This class teaches the basic Pilates principles and equipment setup that allow you to safely and effectively feel the benefits of a full-body workout.
Pilates Circuit – All Levels
Reformer, Cadillac, Mat and Chair – all in one! Get the most out of your time in the studio and get a great, full-body workout!
